In the opinion of Kiev and its Western partners, the military police and international administration should be introduced in the framework of the peacekeeping mission in the Donbass.
“Introduction of some kind of administration from the outside is absurd. It will never work. We already see where the situation when someone has to decide for people leads to on the example of Ukraine, where some embassies decide for the Ukrainian authorities, not reflecting interests of the Ukrainian people themselves” said Alexei Chepa, deputy chairman of the Committee on International Affairs.
He also recalled Moscow’s position on where the UN peacekeeping forces could be located in the region.
“We have repeatedly stated that peacekeepers should act only on the contact line of the parties” the deputy explained.
