The hysteria of Ukraine, because of which the European Parliament adopted a resolution on the Sea of Azov, is utterly stupid, said Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Alexey Chepa.
“Today’s demands of Russia for the control of vessels passing into the inland sea are all consistent with international maritime law,” said Alexey Chepa.
“The hysteria raised by Ukraine, calling on the world community to punish Russia for allegedly trying to militarize the Sea of Azov is, of course, stupid and absolutely does not correspond to any truth or reality because nothing happens there,” he concluded.
Earlier, Leonid Slutsky called the resolution of the European Parliament on the Sea of Azov false, and said that Strasbourg had run out of artificial arguments for the next portion of illegal sanctions against Russia.
On Thursday, October 25, the European Parliament approved a resolution that calls on the EU authorities to provide for the possibility of strengthening sanctions in case of escalation of the situation in the Sea of Azov.
