Alexey Chepa commented on the adoption by the UN General Assembly of the Russian resolution on combating the glorification of Nazism

The UN General Assembly adopted a Russian resolution to combat the glorification of Nazism. The document was supported by 130 states. Representatives of 51 countries abstained from voting.

The final ballot also contains two votes against – Ukraine and the United States. This is not the first time that Washington and Kiev have refused to support such initiatives at the UN level.

The resolution in its current edition proposes to take measures to prevent the revision of the results of the Second World War. The document also contains a call for the elimination of any forms of racial discrimination and concern over the development of neo-Nazism.
