Alexey Chepa commented on the scandal surrounding the investigation of the crash of the Boeing MH17

Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs Alexei Chepa commented on the scandal surrounding the investigation of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing MH17. The deputy was outraged by the actions of the investigative group and called them unacceptable.

Independent journalists revealed new details about the investigation into the case of the Malaysian Boeing MH17 that crashed in Ukraine. BonanzaMedia platform correspondents reported plans by international investigators to violate Russian sovereignty. Journalists got the minutes of the meeting of the operational headquarters of the Joint Investigation Team in the Netherlands in January 2018. At the meeting, they discussed how to find witnesses in Russia without warning the official authorities. The representative of Belgium said that “he did not see any problem in that.” In response, the representative of Ukraine states that he also “sees no difficulties”, but wants to discuss this issue with the leadership, reports TASS.

Alexey Chepa called the actions of the investigators unacceptable. He recalled that such a violation of human rights is often committed by the United States. Chepa believes that Belgium and the Netherlands are trying to “follow in the wake of the United States,” said RIA FAN deputy.

“The intentions of Belgium and the Netherlands to violate our sovereignty are caused by two reasons. First: the international investigation team did not have clear evidence of Russia’s involvement in the tragedy. Second: they did not want to allow our country to investigate and therefore did not accept our arguments and the evidence that we passed to the commission . And, of course, this is all a logical continuation of Russophobic sentiments regarding the political elite of the West, “commented Alexei Chepa.
