Alexey Chepa: “It’s very difficult to trust the utterances of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on the normalization of the situation in the Donbas”

The statements of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky on the normalization of the situation in the Donbass are still very difficult to trust, given his failures in governing the country, said Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Alexei Chepa.

Earlier, Zelensky made a number of statements on the Donbass, in particular, according to him, Kiev sincerely wants to stop the conflict in the region only through diplomacy, and the Donbass economic blockade will be lifted, subject to the return of local enterprises to the control of Kiev.

“It’s very difficult to believe him at the moment, he is actually doing nothing so far. Zelensky made a huge number of bills, and none of them was passed. He made several statements, but his first attempts at management are unsuccessful. All his proposals do not lead yet nothing good either in domestic or foreign policy, “- said Chapa RIA Novosti.

According to the deputy, the steps voiced by Zelensky can contribute to solving problems in the Donbas.

“If the government is able to resolve these issues very well. On the other hand, his statements indicate that there is no experience in solving such complex issues. If he really tries to do what he declares, we will welcome it,” the deputy added.
