Aleksey Chepa, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, stressed that Kiev in every way increases the tension in relations between the two countries, which became even worse after the incident in the Kerch Strait and the imposition of martial law by the Ukrainian authorities in the areas bordering Russia.
“Another provocation of Ukraine and an attempt to force the already difficult situation in the country. Artificially created escalation of tension – in another way Kiev’s actions cannot be called. The Ukrainian authorities are simply looking for excuses to aggravate the situation on the world political arena,” the parliamentarian said.
He promised to seek an answer from Kiev regarding the reasons for the refusal of Russians to enter Ukraine.
“Naturally, we must demand clarification from Kiev; it is necessary to speak openly about such actions. But we should not use those wild methods that are used by the Ukrainian authorities, ”the deputy concluded.
