Anton Morozov: “Unceremonious US intervention in the internal affairs of a sovereign state provokes a serious civil confrontation inside Venezuela”

Negotiations between US President Donald Trump and Venezuelan self-proclaimed president Juan Guaido are turning the country’s citizens against the current president, Nicholas Maduro, which is completely incorrect and unacceptable under international law, said Anton Morozov.

“This provokes, of course, civil unrest, clashes of people up to a civil war between supporters of the lawfully elected president and the opposition. I think it is very ugly on the part of the United States to interfere in the internal affairs of Venezuela in a similar way.”

“Burning” and setting up the people of Venezuela against the current head of state is completely incorrect and unacceptable under international law.
