Elena Panina: “Only two powers are faithful to the principles of the post-war organization”

The assessment of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who called the Russian Federation and the PRC “global stabilizers” of international relations, is fair and objective, says Elena Panina, State Duma deputy, member of the International Affairs Committee, director of the RUSSTRAT Institute.

“75 years after the end of World War II, only two victorious powers, Russia and China, remain faithful to the principles underlying the post-war system – cooperation, equality, non-interference in each other’s internal affairs,” Panina noted, adding that in the meantime attempts to remind the Western powers of these principles have so far been futile.

“The atmosphere of dialogue is collapsing, mutually beneficial projects are declared“ undermining democracy ”and are subject to ever newer sanctions. In the struggle for global domination, the collective West is moving towards destabilization. Against this background, the example of Russia and China is the only possible alternative in the development of international relations, ”said Panina.
