One can expect the appearance of other suspects in the case of poisoning Sergey and YuliaSkripals, as this is a typical provocation, that needs more fuel to the fire, says Member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Elena Panina.
Earlier Telegraph reported that British investigators had identified the third suspect who allegedly was involved in the poisoning of the former GRU officer Sergey Skripal and his daughter Julia in Salisbury who worked for the British secret services. According to the publication, the third suspect, allegedly also a member of the GRU, visited Salisbury in order to collect intelligence information for Petrov and Boshirov: in particular, he made up the plan of the alley where he lived and found out which door he was using.
“The whole story of the poisoning of the Skripals is a typical provocation. It develops according to the genre: no fuel – no fire”. Therefore, there appears the third suspect to attract attention to this story. One can expect the fourth and fifth suspects and already at the level of the General of the GRU, the Colonel is already not enough” – MP Panina said.
The politician also noted that, according to the logic of London, the entire Main Intelligence Directorate went to England “to poison the former employee.”
“This story is perplexing for all sane people, including those abroad, so it is inaccurate. The British side does not take any reasonable arguments: neither the opinion of leading experts on chemical weapons, nor the fact that if the former GRU Colonel Skripalposed for Russia such a danger, it would never have been given to London, but since an excuse is needed to support sanctions against Russia, it is necessary to multiply lies, and the more absurd is a lie, the more people believe in it” – she concluded.
