“In the year of the fifth anniversary of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, within the framework of the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, a fundamental, substantive dialogue of the leaders of the EAEU member countries took place. The heads of our countries summed up the interim results of the work of the union, the main goal of which is to increase the well-being of citizens. An open conversation, an in-depth analysis of the Union’s work over the past period and concrete proposals for improving the work of the EAEU indicate a great interest of our states in the effectiveness of a joint project that yields tangible results in Eurasian integration. This was stated by a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Sergey Zheleznyak.
“The large-scale tasks of the EAEU, voiced by the Russian president, including easing the burden on business and the transition to supranational regulation of a number of key sectors of the economy, will significantly increase the investment attractiveness of both individual countries and the entire Union for cooperation with international partners and associations. In the face of negative global economic conditions, the launching by individual players of the market of trade wars and the strengthening of unfair competition trends, the updated EAEU strategy will strengthen the internal stability of the Union and make our cooperation even more effective, ”the politician is convinced.
He also noted that the agreement on the accrual of pensions based on the length of service regardless of which country of the person the person specifically mentioned by the head of our state worked in is a breakthrough decision that will positively affect the well-being of citizens, as well as strengthening positions and authority EAEU.
According to the parliamentarian: “The international work of the EAEU covers not only the issues of economic interaction, but also the problems of regional and international security, as well as the joint confrontation of contemporary challenges, including the fight against the terrorist threat. Today, great interest is shown in the successful work of the EAEU in China, India, Singapore, Serbia and in many other countries that are ready for open mutually beneficial cooperation. Negotiations are actively conducted in the format of interaction of the EAEU with the CIS countries, ASEAN, SCO, the integration of the EAEU and the Chinese project “Silk Road” takes on real forms. The fundamental principles of the EAEU, which include the free movement of services, goods, capital and labor, are becoming attractive for countries that pursue pragmatic policies and are determined to defend national interests despite external pressure. ”
The parliamentarian added: “The anniversary meeting of the heads of the EAEU countries demonstrates great prospects for the development and expansion of cooperation, both within the organization and internationally. The key to successful development within the EAEU is the lack of bloc thinking in our countries and readiness for open partnership with everyone who shares our view on the system of mutual relations on the world stage. ”
