Sergey Zheleznyak: “The energy collapse in the Bolivarian Republic was provoked by outside forces”

The United States calls on other countries to boycott Venezuela in order to “illegally deprive the country of oil revenues,” said Sergei Zheleznyak, a member of the Duma’s international affairs committee.

“America openly interferes in the internal affairs of an independent state, threatens sanctions with partners of Caracas, grossly violating international law,” Zhelezniak says.

He is confident that, despite the threats and blackmail by the United States, responsible states must show solidarity and provide the necessary humanitarian support to the people of Venezuela, who are subjected to unprecedented external pressure.

“I am convinced that the energy collapse in the Bolivarian Republic is also provoked from outside by forces aimed at destroying Venezuelan independence by any means,” the State Duma deputy said.
