Sergey Zheleznyak: “The initiation of a criminal case against the ex-president of Ukraine is a political order”

“Following the criminal case under the article on high treason and abuse of power against ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, we should expect a new wave of scandal in the USA against the candidate for the post of head of state Joe Biden. On the eve of the US election, it will be very beneficial for the owner of the White House, Donald Trump. ” This opinion was expressed by a member of the State Duma committee on international affairs, Sergei Zheleznyak, commenting on the compromising evidence provided by the Verkhovna Rada deputy on Poroshenko.

“It looks like the criminal case against the ex-president of Ukraine is a political order, possibly initiated in the USA by supporters of the current American president.

The current authorities of Ukraine can take advantage of the newly discovered circumstances, and try to derive political benefits, allowing to bring to a logical conclusion the case against Poroshenko and his team. This will be the beginning of Zelensky’s campaign against the oligarchs and may raise his rating. But, unfortunately, this intraspecific struggle of political elites will not affect the lives of ordinary Ukrainians in any way and will not save Ukraine from war and devastation, ”the deputy emphasized.

According to the politician: “All accusations of corruption, the collapse of the economy and high treason that are addressed to ex-President Poroshenko, first of all, include the outbreak of war against the people of Donbass and numerous casualties among civilians in the south-east of Ukraine. Poroshenko and his accomplices should be judged in Kiev, and in The Hague. “
