Sergey Zheleznyak: “The naked accusations of Russia of alleged violations of the rights of citizens in Crimea are part of the anti-Russian campaign unleashed in the United States”

Member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Sergey Zheleznyak called the US State Department report on the state of human rights in Crimea based on speculation instead of facts.

According to the deputy: “I suggest that representatives of the US foreign ministry, instead of collecting remote rumors and fabricating lies, visit Crimea to personally make an objective conclusion about the human rights situation on the Russian peninsula. I am ready, together with my Duma colleagues, to assist in organizing the visit of the delegation of the American authorities to the Crimea, if they really want to understand the situation. People in the Crimea and Sevastopol will be able to clearly explain their position on all issues of interest. ”

The politician stressed: “Those who are bare-handed and have no evidence of charges against our country in alleged violations of the rights of Russian citizens in Crimea are part of the anti-Russian campaign unleashed in the United States. Our country strictly follows the norms of Russian and recognized international law. There were no intentional violations of the rights of the inhabitants of the Crimea, after the people’s referendum on the reunification of the Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia, and there was not. We are doing everything possible to ensure a decent standard of living and complete safety of the residents of all Russian territories and the Crimea in particular. Five years ago, Russia defended the population from the genocide by Bandera and supported the Crimean people in the context of the energy and food blockade imposed by the Ukrainian authorities. ”

Zheleznyak noted: “Instead of replicating lies, the US State Department should pay attention to massive human rights violations in Ukraine, to numerous victims among the peaceful population of Donbass, with which the Kiev authorities continue to wage war, ignoring the implementation of the Minsk agreements. But in the USA they see only what is in their hands. Considering the crimes committed by the Kiev regime controlled by Washington is not beneficial. And once again, throwing a stream of lies over Russia is a favorite occupation of American Russophobes. ”
