Vitaly Milonov: “Baltic States should understand that Russia is a reliable partner”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed laws ratifying agreements relating to the financing and implementation of cross-border cooperation programs with Poland and Latvia for the period up to 2020.

Member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Vitaly Milonov noted that the signed laws are aimed at making the life of people on different sides of the border more comfortable.
“This is aimed at ensuring that those people who would like not to experience severe inconvenience from the fact that they have different passports in different countries really feel in conditions of heightened attention, and that the state has paid attention to their problems,” Milonov said.

The total budget of the Russia-Latvia cross-border cooperation program is 24.8 million euros.
