The ECHR’s demands for the immediate release of Navalny are outside the legal framework. The European Court of Human Rights, unfortunately, is actively used as an instrument of pressure and politicization, and in this case – an invasion of the competence of the judicial system of the Russian Federation. In itself, this decision is unprecedented in its commitment.
All this again and again confirms the correctness of the adoption of amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation on the priority of the Basic Law of Russia over the verdicts of international organizations. Thus, we have protected the Russian legal space from such attempts to interfere from outside and impose decisions that contradict the legislation of the Russian Federation.
