Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs:
“The results of the trilateral meeting in Moscow on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement consolidate the results achieved on November 9 last year on the cessation of hostilities in the region. The new agreements will make it possible to restore the entire infrastructure step by step and improve the lives of civilians. The 30-year conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh is becoming more and more history, and sustainable peace is coming to its land. And in this there is a great role for Russia as an effective mediator. This fact is recognized by both the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides.
Russia will continue to assist in the settlement in Nagorno-Karabakh, and our peacekeepers will continue to guard the peace and security in the region.”
