The Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang said that Russia and China have great prospects for the further development of cooperation, follows from the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
“Russia and China have great prospects for cooperation. The Chinese side is ready to continue pairing the One Belt, One Way initiative with the EAEU, to further expand the scale and quality of bilateral trade,” Li Keqiang said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which took place the day before in Moscow.
Li Keqiang participated in the 24th regular meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China, which was held in St. Petersburg, and then flew to Moscow.
The Chinese prime minister added that the healthy and stable development of Russian-Chinese relations is favorable not only for the two countries, but also for the entire international community. He expressed the willingness of the Chinese side together with Russia to strengthen friendship, deepen cooperation, and together defend the system of international relations with the UN at its center and the multilateral mechanism of international trade with the WTO as its basis.
The Chinese prime minister expressed the hope that Beijing and Moscow will maintain openness towards each other and expand access to each other’s markets.
