The speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Andrei Paruby, submitted the law on the termination of the Treaty of Friendship with Russia from April 1, 2019 to the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, for signature. This is reported on the website of Parliament.
The Speaker of the Rada has already signed this document.
On Thursday, the Ukrainian parliament supported the law on the termination of the Treaty of Friendship with Russia. For the adoption of the document voted 277 deputies with the necessary minimum of 226 votes. The bill on the termination of the Treaty introduced to the parliament Petro Poroshenko.
Leonid Slutsky, head of the Duma Committee on International Affairs, declared on December 3 that, given the current state of Russian-Ukrainian relations, the introduction of this document to the Verkhovna Rada is a sham political gesture. In his opinion, the Ukrainian authorities will continue to use the image of Russia as an external enemy.
