EU Deputy claimed European Parliament uses double standards principle towards Russia and other countries

National Front Member of the European Parliament representing Île-de-France Jean-Luc Schaffhauser blamed Europe in double standards, TASS reports. He called “unfair” Brussels’ attitude towards the Crimea accession to Russia.

According to the politician, while refusing the right of self-determination to Crimeans, EP is very loayl to Kosovo unlawful occupation.

«You disapprove Russia’s actions but approve the NATO aggression against Yugoslavia,» politician underlined in a course of his speech.

Europe was against referendum in Crimea meanwhile approving Kosovo’s declaration of independence, which was was contrary to UN resolution. Schaffhauser has also reminded that despite all words about a State governed by the rule of law, Europe supported the Ukrainian putsch.

EU Deputy is sure that EU “doesn’t like patriotic desire of Crimeans to return into Russia. The peninsula has been historically its part.

After 5 years of Crimea returning to Russia, European Union continues the policy of non-recognition peninsula as a part of Russia. “We remain steadfast in our non-recognition policy,” EU claimed earlier.
