The Pushkin State Russian Language Institute announces the start of a competition, with a trip to Artek camp as the main prize. Teams of foreign schoolchildren and young compatriots living abroad, aged 11 to 17 years old, are invited to participate. Applications can be sent until June 23. The results of the competition will be announced on July 1.
Winners will be invited to the session in the Russian language. It starts on August 7th. The institute organizers this kind of session for the third time.
Children will study Russian according to a specially designed program. It takes into account the language knowledge of each child. Therefore, classes will be useful to everyone, even those who are just beginning to learn Russian.
The three-week course will include not only Russian language lessons, but also classes on Russian culture. Children will also be introduced to rhetoric and taught to dance folk dances. Quests, flash mobs and many other interesting activities are planned during the session. Teachers of the Pushkin Institute and volunteers of Ambassadors of the Russian language in the world program will take care of the children.
Note, that one hundred and fifty children who studied Russian participated in the session last year. They came from the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, European states and also from overseas.
