The European Commission called Moscow the chief disinformer in Europe. In fact, Brussels declared us an information war, Doctor of Political Sciences Alexander Gusev told the Nation News.
He recalled that, according to European Commission Deputy Andrus Ansip, Russia has become a key disinformer in Europe, moreover, Moscow is allegedly interfering in the holding of elections in the West.
“In fact, this is Brussels that declared us an information war, and not vice versa. In this paradigm, there are also the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights, and other organizations. And the Russian side, in turn, is forced to confront, ”the political scientist noted.
According to him, one cannot exclude the possibility that in response to provocations, Moscow uses methods of information warfare.
“But in the current situation, this is absolutely logical and constructive. There is a huge flow of misinformation from the EU now, so all means of protection against it are good, ”the expert is sure.
