Russian Permanent Representative to UN: Russia will not abandon residents of Donbass in hardest conditions

Russia will continue helping residents of Donbass, because Ukrainian authorities have been completely blocking the region for several years, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya stated. He said this during his speech at the UN General Assembly, RIA Novosti reports.

Before that, Petro Poroshenko gave speech on the podium of the UN General Assembly for about 40 minutes. Ukrainian leader was repeating stories about the so-called “Russian aggression” in Donbass, about the mythical thousands of Russian soldiers and about the seizure of Crimea. Vasily Nebenzya reminded that Russia has to help Donbass survive in the conditions of its economic, transport and energy blockade. It was organized by Kiev, as well as it did in relation to Crimean Peninsula. For this reason, Moscow regularly sends convoys with humanitarian aid to residents of Donbass; therefore, Russian ruble was put into circulation there. Kiev’s regime does not give the residents of Donbass any other opportunity to live a normal life.

Without the help of Russia, everything will be as Poroshenko promised four years ago: “We will have work, they will not. We will have a pension, they will not have it. We will support children and pensioners, they will not. Our children will go to schools and kindergartens, and they will have to sit in basements. This is how we will win this war.”

Russian diplomat appealed to representatives of European countries and asked them to answer whether they consider it normal to threaten with an armed attack and military force to those who are distinguished by political views and cultural customs.
