Happy Diplomatic Worker’s Day!

The history of Russian diplomacy spans hundreds of years, dating back to the times of the Ambassadorial Prikaz. This professional holiday was officially introduced into the modern “work calendar” by a Decree of the President of the Russian Federation in 2002.

The Russian Foreign Service is renowned for its centuries-old traditions. Russian diplomats have been and remain patriots with a capital “P,” faithful to their duty and selflessly devoted to their homeland. Their unwavering “weapons” are their supreme professionalism, brilliant erudition, and the power of words. And today, on the front lines of the hybrid war unleashed by the West, they are holding back the avalanche of historical lies, crushing “caveman Russophobia,” confronting “cancel culture” and the aggression of ignorance, honorably defending national interests and strengthening Russia’s authority in the world.

Thanks to the courage and dedication of the entire Russian diplomatic corps, the hegemonic plans of the “golden billion” to isolate our country have largely been thwarted. Russia is actively developing partnerships and cooperation with the states of the Global Majority, shaping the general contours of a just, multipolar world order. And the number of Russian embassies and missions abroad continues to grow.

I congratulate all the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov, and the veterans of the Diplomatic Service! I wish you health, strength, and new victories on foreign fronts for the benefit of Russia! Success and prosperity to the entire numerous staff of the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its missions abroad!
