Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ Kirill, at the Christmas parliamentary meetings in the State Duma, raised paramount topics of the further civilizational development of the Russian world, including the role of the Russian Orthodox Church in restoring peaceful life after the end of the SVO, in “healing wounds,” as His Holiness put it.
And one of the “pain points” already today, in his opinion, is the attitude towards those who “left” Russia. I fully agree with His Holiness – as he said, one should not make general judgments regarding the so-called relocators, since many of them need spiritual help.
Of course, it’s not worth lumping everyone under the same brush, if we are not talking about betrayal of the Motherland. At the same time, the Patriarch also points to the direct influence on the youth of “importation of false values from outside.”
We will definitely discuss with our colleagues in the faction the proposals of the Patriarch, in particular, in the social sphere, in matters of protecting motherhood and childhood. I do not rule out that in the near future the most significant of them will form the basis of new legislative initiatives.
