The US and Israel have triggered a bloody domino effect in the Middle East with unprecedented aggression against Iran.

As a result of an IDF attack, backed by the United States, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, his family, and members of the country’s military leadership were brutally assassinated. More than 100 girls were killed in a school in Minab, and hundreds of Iranian civilians were wounded. Iran is on fire: political assassinations, cruelty, and violence against civilians. All this has triggered a “red flag” for revenge and an even stronger response from Tehran.

Twenty-seven American military bases in the Persian Gulf and the IDF headquarters have already been targeted in Iran’s retaliatory strikes. The “Arab Street” is also suffering losses from Tehran’s response to the American-Israeli military adventure. Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Syria, and Saudi Arabia are also affected. In Bahrain, an Iranian attack destroyed the international airport, and explosions were heard in hotels and civilian buildings, killing and injuring civilians. The escalation in the region is growing exponentially, and this is causing serious concern.

The escalation in the Middle East has taken the most dangerous course, contrary to all norms of international law. An emergency meeting of the UN Security Council clearly outlined the rift: the US and Israel are effectively introducing a new “law of the jungle,” where “might makes right.” They are cynically supported by their European NATO allies, such as Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas. Russia and China have strongly condemned the attack on Iran and called for an immediate end to hostilities.

It is necessary to pull the “knife” from the “back of diplomacy,” stop the aggression against Iran, and return all parties to the path of political settlement. Otherwise, the flames raging in the Persian Gulf today could ignite World War III.
