It is Europe—the party behind the instigation of the Ukrainian conflict—that should pay reparations once the conflict ends, rather than Ukraine itself. This statement was made to *Gazeta.Ru* on September 29 by Alexey Chepa, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs.
“Ukraine’s massive debts will make it impossible for the country to pay anything. I believe reparations should be demanded from Europe instead,” the MP said.
According to him, the EU is the primary force fueling the Ukrainian conflict. In this context, Chepa noted that active preparations for the conflict in Ukraine had been underway since as early as 2013.
