The negotiations between the heads of state of the Russian Federation and the United States have not taken place to date, apparently because the American leadership needs more time to study the problem of the Ukrainian conflict more closely. State Duma deputy Alexey Chepa expressed his opinion on this matter.
I do not know exactly why the negotiations have not taken place yet, but I can assume that Trump’s team is preparing some of its own proposals for negotiations. Despite a number of loud statements, upon detailed consideration of the problem, they apparently realized that it is not so easy to resolve the conflict, and the conversation must be specific and serious, – says the deputy.
In his opinion, the negotiations between the two presidents will take place in the near future. He also noted that he has no doubt that the American president’s position on the need to resolve the confrontation remains unchanged, writes Lenta.ru.
