State Duma deputy Alexey Chepa said that Ukraine could organize a provocation on its territory in order to accuse Russia of aggression. In his opinion, such actions are necessary for Kyiv to attract the attention of the West, especially considering that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky was not invited to Donald Trump’s inauguration in the United States. At the same time, the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (Ukrainian Armed Forces) in the combat zone remains difficult, writes News.ru.
Chepa noted: “It is beneficial for them (the Ukrainian authorities) to provoke a situation that could cause condemnation from the Western coalition. Part of this coalition still supports Zelensky, and condemnation of Russia’s actions will be important for them.”
Provocations can take various forms, he added.
The deputy also mentioned that Kyiv could initiate provocations by striking important objects on Russian territory. Chepa suggested that this could happen in the Kursk region, where the Ukrainian military could try to attack a nuclear power plant.
Earlier, Silovoy Blok reported that Zakharova spoke about corrupt ties between Ukraine and Western countries.
