Arthur Chilingarov, Special Representative of the President of Russia for International Cooperation in the Arctic and the Antarctic, assessed the chances of preserving peace in the current geopolitical situation.
As he said in a comment to PolitEkspert, the Arctic-Territory of Dialogue forum is important. It all started with a geographical society and turned into a powerful political, economic community of people who communicate to save the Arctic.
“The main result is the preservation of the Arctic,” says Chilingarov.
Answering the question about the chances of preserving this region in the light of the geopolitical situation, Chilingarov answered unequivocally.
“Of course. We want to maintain good neighborly relations between the countries of the Arctic region. The Arctic influences everything, so the interest in it is special, ”said the presidential representative.
