Anton Morozov, a member of the State Duma’s Committee on International Affairs, believes that the amendment to the Basic Law of the Russian Federation on limiting the priority of international law is the most important, since it removes the regime and the very possibility of external governance of Russia.
“The sovereignty of the state depends on how strong the current legislation is, and if the effect of our laws, including the Constitution, can be limited by external obligations, then we simply are not able to pursue our own policy. Therefore, this amendment is extremely important, it will allow us to pursue our policy without regard to external obligations, “- said the source Nation News.
The deputy noted that the IMF was one of the regulators, and its decisions were guidelines for the Russian Central Bank.
“The IMF often imposed on us decisions related to securities, the issue of money, restrictions on the key rate. In fact, IMF decisions are formally moderated, but in fact they deter the Russian economy, and we cannot allow this, because our country needs “as soon as possible. We, unfortunately, have rather low incomes and in order to increase incomes of the population, we need to get rid of external regulators in the sphere of monetary policy,” Morozov summed up.
