The diplomatic scandal developing in recent days between Russia and the Czech Republic will negatively affect the further relations of the two countries, Anton Morozov, member of the State Duma’s international affairs committee, told Izvestia.
“We had normal friendly relations with the Czech Republic, which had roots since Soviet times. We were very close countries with Czechoslovakia. But it’s obvious that those who direct the geopolitical situation in Eastern Europe are trying to drive a wedge between Russia and all our neighbors in this region, ”MP Morozov said. He noted that until recently, the Czech Republic remained relatively neutral with respect to Russia.
“But, apparently, this does not suit the Western curators of Prague. Therefore, through various frauds, stuffing and deliberately false information through the media, through the special services, a wedge between our countries is driven in every way, ”the parliamentarian emphasized. He called on the political leadership of Russia and the Czech Republic to take measures in order to maintain friendly relations, despite influence from the outside.
