Member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Dmitry Belik appreciated the statement of the head of the Ministry of Economy of Slovakia, Richard Sulik, regarding the payment for Russian gas.
The minister said that gas supplies cannot be stopped. If Russia insists on the condition of payment in rubles, then these conditions will have to be met.
The MP recalled that Slovakia is a member of NATO, and in the current situation, everything is “not so clear.”
At the same time, Slovakia is “dependent on Russian gas.”
“On the other hand, this decision cannot be considered without taking into account the likelihood of Slovakia selling gas under the reverse scheme,” RT’s interlocutor concluded.
– The total volume of purchases from Gazprom by these countries was small – it amounted to about 2.8 billion cubic meters per year, of which most – 1.6-1.7 billion cubic meters – falls on Latvia, – the head of the Center told Izvestia energy research Kirill Melnikov.
Germany, under the sanctions, also turned out to be the affected party, unlike the United States, which is interested in Europe refusing Russian gas for the sake of several of its goals at once. Political scientist and historian Dmitry Zhuravlev stated this on the air of 360.
