Dmitry Belik appreciated Zelensky’s threat to stop negotiations due to referendums

Dmitry Belik, a member of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs, called the statement of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on the termination of negotiations if referendums are held in the regions of the country controlled by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, on April 24, reports RT.

Belik stressed that such an ultimatum demonstrates Zelensky’s frankly disregard for the interests of the people of Ukraine, who is trying to fulfill commands from across the ocean.

“Whatever conditions our country proposes, we cannot expect an adequate response from Kyiv: the authorities, determined to the last to sacrifice their people, it is unprofitable to quickly end the conflict,” the deputy said.

According to Belik, the population that does not want to support the criminal regime in Kyiv can make an independent choice, while Zelensky has discredited himself in the eyes of the people of Ukraine.

The parliamentarian cited Sevastopol and Crimea as an example, saying: “Not a single Ukrainian president who does not put the needs of the citizens of his country in a penny is able to interfere with their expression of will.”

Recall that earlier Zelensky said that Ukraine would stop negotiations if referendums were held in the regions controlled by the Russian army or the Nazis blocked in Mariupol were destroyed.

It should be noted that Russia has prepared a document with specific wording on the agreement with Ukraine, handed it over to the Ukrainian side and is awaiting a response.
