According to Dmitry Belik, a State Duma deputy from Sevastopol and a member of the International Affairs Committee, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU)’s plans to use a “dirty bomb” constitute a war crime. He told RIA Novosti this.
The deputy was commenting on the statement by Major General Alexei Rtishchev, Chief of the Russian Armed Forces’ Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Defense Troops, that the SBU had been practicing a “dirty bomb” scenario using ionizing radiation sources in a crowded area.
“The SBU continues to behave like a terrorist group. Their plans to use a dirty bomb are a war crime directed against civilians. Dirty warfare and inhumane acts are the hallmarks of despotism and war criminals,” Belik said.
He noted that the Ukrainian special services, in their methods, are followers of Hitler’s Nazis.
“Today, Zelensky and his cronies are apparently haunted by Hitler’s laurels,” Belik emphasized.
Earlier, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov recalled evidence held by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service indicating continued work in Ukraine to create a “dirty bomb.”
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that a “dirty bomb” strike on Russia would be the last mistake made by neo-Nazis in Ukraine.
