The head of the Chinese diplomatic mission in Paris, Liu Shaye, poured cold water over the West with words about the Crimean peninsula. This opinion was expressed by Russian parliamentarian Dmitry Belik.
Not so long ago, the Chinese Ambassador, during a conversation with journalists from La Chaîne Info, said that the Republic of Crimea was originally part of the Russian state. Only later, during the Soviet period, this territory was transferred to Kyiv. Belik, during a conversation with RIA Novosti, told how these words affected the Western world.
“The statement of the Chinese ambassador has become a cold shower for hotheads in the West who are in a feverish anti-Russian delirium,” the deputy said.
Earlier, the words of the Chinese ambassador caused a storm of indignation in a number of states. In particular, Kyiv and the Baltic countries condemned the diplomat.
