Statements by Polish Deputy Defense Minister Marcin Ocepa about the upcoming war with Russia in the near future are needed to justify actions to increase the number of armed forces and rearmament, State Duma deputy Dmitry Belik shared this opinion with NEWS.ru. He believes that anti-Russian rhetoric has become a kind of mainstream for the collective West, and it is not at all necessary to talk about a direct clash here.
The statements of the Minister of Defense of Poland are very good for justifying actions to build up the size of the armed forces, rearmament and financing in this direction, and all questions of the population, including about the energy crisis or internal problems, can always be answered: “There is a risk of war with Russia, so we are getting ready,” Belik said.
In his opinion, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland rightly noted that everything depends on how the conflict in Ukraine ends. Therefore, Western countries have now taken a kind of wait-and-see attitude and are following the developments with concern, the parliamentarian stressed.
In fact, Poland has already entered into a conflict with our country, but this is not a direct confrontation, but actions by proxy and on foreign territory, he concluded.
Earlier, Otsepa said that Poland highly assesses the risk of war with Russia in the interval from 3 to 10 years. He added that, in connection with this, Warsaw intends to increase funding for the Polish army and re-equip it.
