Dmitry Belik said that Russophobia has eclipsed the minds of some American experts

Russophobia has overshadowed the minds of a number of American experts, Dmitry Belik, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, said during a conversation with RT, commenting on an article written by Thomas Duns for The Wall Street Journal under the heading “Russia has occupied American lands too,” in which an American journalist suggested that Washington regain control of the Russian Wrangel Island.

According to the Russian MP, Russophobia has “clouded the minds” of some United States experts so much that they find it possible to talk about such absurd ideas in the “public field.”

Belik noted that such a presentation of “individual pages of history”, which the United States interprets as it suits them, is pretentious and “impermissible.” He also added that it was rather strange for the oldest American newspaper to publish articles with “distorted historical facts.”
