State Duma deputy from Sevastopol, member of the International Affairs Committee Dmitry Belik said that the attempt on Donald Trump would play a cruel joke on current US President Joe Biden.
Trump cut short a public appearance in Pennsylvania on Saturday because of the shooting. The video footage shows the politician being taken away by the arm by security; his ear was bloodied. Trump later said he was shot in the ear and lost a lot of blood. The US Secret Service said it had killed a suspect who fired several shots towards the stage. One spectator was killed in the shooting and two others were critically injured.
“Trump, having lost a piece of his ear, received votes that he didn’t even count on. Thus, Biden is already in a position of being ready to get a kick from the White House. This story will play a cruel joke on him, since now Biden will be associated with an attempt to physically eliminate clumsy way of his opponent in the elections,” Belik told RIA Novosti.
In his opinion, the assassination attempt is an attempt by the Democrats to put an end to political prospects and get rid of Biden, who does not want to give up his presidential ambitions.
