Dmitry Belik: The words of the Polish president about Crimea came as a shock to Kyiv

Deputy Dmitry Belik, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, believes that the statement by Polish President Andrzej Duda about the historical belonging of Crimea to Russia turned out to be shocking for the Ukrainian authorities.

During an interview for the Kanal Zero program, the President of Poland acknowledged the historical affiliation of Crimea with Russia and expressed doubt about the possibility of returning the peninsula to the control of Ukraine. Belik, who represents Sevastopol in the Russian parliament, said: “For the Kyiv regime this is, without a doubt, a shock. They certainly did not expect such a political demarche from Poland.”
