Dmitry Novikov: “Europe is committed to imperialist solidarity. It will cost her dearly. And the new world needs to be built with other forces.”

Current European politicians do not want Europe to be united and stretch from Lisbon to Vladivostok. The asking price will be high. This is the opinion of Dmitry Novikov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs.

The representative of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation expressed his position on the air of the program “Time will show” on Channel One. According to him, Europe proved to be true to its NATO-imperialist solidarity. At this stage, this means the failure of any hopes for a united Europe from Lisbon to Vladivostok.

Analyzing the impact of the sanctions policy on the global economy, Dmitry Novikov stressed that he does not share the hatred-mongering mood and admits that sanctions are hitting all countries. The West does not achieve its goals. His governments counted on the fact that sanctions would bury Russia, and, on the contrary, they would be lifted, allowing them to strengthen their role in the world: “But this is not happening. In the 1990s, they buzzed our ears about the global world. Russia was “written” into it on semi-colonial terms. Some things they succeeded, and some things they didn’t. Russia has become aware of its national interests again. As a result, we are witnessing a process of mutual losses from sanctions in the global world.”

USA, according to D.G. Novikov, they lose the least, but the losses of their European allies will be much more significant. However, this does not bother Washington at all: “The more the European Union loses from sanctions, the more accommodating it will become, and it will be better to carry out commands from Washington. The price of the issue with such behavior is the economic degradation of Europe, including its education, health care and all those social structures that it formed under the influence of rivalry with the USSR.

During the program, when discussing the situation in Ukraine, Dmitry Novikov addressed the Ukrainian military: “We perceive you as our half-brothers. Those of you who have not only become confused, but also committed crimes, who have become outright Nazis, we will judge. But we know that these are only a part, a small part. Most of you took up arms under duress. Do as your fellow citizens who have surrendered have already done. By doing this, they provide peace to their families and, ultimately, a more worthy future for Ukraine.”

Yes, the authorities of the states of Europe turned out to be loyal to the alliance with Washington, and contrary to their own interests. “But there are other countries, such as China,” Dmitry Novikov emphasized. They see farther and think deeper. We need to work with them to build a more just world.”
