Russia does not seek conquest, but will defend its right to independence and independent development. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation D.G. Novikov in the program “Time will tell” on Channel One.
The Ukrainian authorities are feverishly trying to patch up military and reputational “gaps.” They promise new offensive operations, but they rely entirely on the West. The release of the political program “Time will Tell” was devoted to the analysis of these processes. Presenter Olesya Loseva asked what else Ukraine must lose in order to sit down at the negotiating table.
Before moving on to the answer, Dmitry Novikov recalled the celebration of February 23: “This is a big holiday, and I want to sincerely congratulate all the defenders of the fatherland, everyone who honors military victories. This is a big day in our history – the day of the creation of the Red Army by the decision of Lenin. It was created at one of the critical, turning points in our history. In many ways, this decision turned out to be life-saving. And today, again, our attention is focused on the fighters who defend the independence, honor, sovereignty, and future of our homeland. Congratulations not only on my own behalf, but also on behalf of all comrades in the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.”
Regarding the topic of discussion, Dmitry Novikov noted that reality cannot be ignored indefinitely. Therefore, from pretentious statements about “counter-offensives”, Kyiv and those who support it are moving on to recognizing the actual situation – that Russia has developed a rather advantageous position for solving the problems of denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine. Today, the Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation emphasized, this is recognized by everyone, not excluding such persons as Arestovich, who until recently was called upon to inspire optimism in Ukrainians.
Developing the topic, Dmitry Georgievich noted that for some, sobering assessments are a recognition of reality, for others, an attempt to gain time. The appointment of the same Syrsky as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is intended to bring an element of novelty to the situation, although he bears the same responsibility for the situation at the front as Zaluzhny: “Now they say that everything is very complicated. If it becomes easier tomorrow, it will be presented as a personal merit of Mr. Syrsky and Zelensky, who appointed him. But there is no hope that things will get better in the foreseeable future, so people are starting to extend the deadlines. Let’s, they say, somehow survive this year, but in 2025 it will be easier, but only if the West fulfills its obligations and promises that it inspired.”
As the representative of the Communist Party emphasized, Russia can and should accelerate progress in liberating the territories of Ukraine. It is likely, he noted, that these are the issues that are now being considered at Russian headquarters. He suggested that history recognizes the correctness of the fact that the Russian army persistently recaptured certain positions for a certain period of time, which is why the enemy suffered serious losses. But now, perhaps, the time has come for active action not head-on, but bypassing defensive structures.
Meanwhile, the situation in Europe is becoming increasingly tense. Farmer protests continue and disagreements between EU members worsen. The studio guests were asked whether all this is the result of the second year of the SVO?
Dmitry Novikov added to these assessments that the SVO itself, provoked by the West, is a sign of a global crisis, a crisis of the capitalist system: “I think that by the middle or end of the next century there will come a time when Russia, China, India and other countries will have to take care of preserving the European cultural heritage, because it is a global heritage. Our people will still go to European museums. And you will have to take care because the economy of this part of the world will degrade further. “Alas, today this economy does not work for the interests of the whole world and even its own peoples, but for the interests of war.”
During the program, assessments of Western experts were reproduced that Russia is a “bad scarecrow” with which it is increasingly difficult to scare the population. According to Novikov, this is both true and false. Russia really is not going to conquer Europe, we need to develop our own spaces. And today’s conflict with the West is not due to our claims and ambitions to conquer Europe, but to the fact that the West is preventing us from developing within, from developing our own vast spaces.
But at the same time, for some Westerners – not very literate, susceptible to propaganda – Russia is still a good scarecrow. When Europeans are frightened by the Afghan Taliban, Iranian or even Chinese threat, it is difficult to believe in it, noted Dmitry Novikov. These countries are far away, but Russia is nearby. At the same time, the military potential of the West remains high, and this must be taken seriously. The EU is ramping up its industry. Since the United States “sucked” the potential of other, “civilian” industries from Europe, the focus is now on the military-industrial complex. This poses a great threat to Russia. That is why it was impossible to wait any longer with a special military operation.
As the international situation worsens Newly, the true face of the Western elites is becoming increasingly clear. For example, American Congressman Andrew Ogles, when asked by a journalist whether he had seen footage of the mutilated bodies of Palestinian children, said: “We need to kill them all!”
Dmitry Novikov assessed this inhumane confession as follows: “Even if any citizen in any country says about another people, “Kill them all!”, he, in conscience and, as a rule, according to the laws of his country, is a criminal. He incites national hatred. And this is said by a politician vested with authority and having access to decision-making. He is an absolute criminal! Yes, many US citizens are not interested in this topic. But as for people related to politics, at least at the expert level, at least at the decision-making level, such things need to be recorded. Record in the same way as Bastrykin’s department records the crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Nazis in Ukraine. This is necessary both for history and, with a favorable course of events, for a real trial.”
The representative of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation pointed out that the global minority, represented by the United States and Europe, has its own tools for judicial activities, including the Hague Tribunal. Dmitry Novikov spoke out in favor of the fact that the world majority also needs to take care of the collective condemnation of the most dangerous crimes.
