Dmitry Novikov: The people of Ukraine have a chance for a better future

Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Dmitry Novikov spoke on Channel One

Ukrainian armed formations fired from the HIMARS MLRS at the crossing under the Antonovsky bridge. At that moment, civilians from Kherson were being evacuated along it to the left bank of the Dnieper. Several journalists were also injured.

Of the 12 missiles fired, one hit the target. The victims of the strike were ordinary civilians. The representative of the operational command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “South” Natalya Gumenyuk confirmed the fact of the missile attack. However, she accompanied her comment with allegations that, allegedly, only Russian military personnel were at the crossing.

Commenting on this information, Dmitry Novikov said:

– Everyone knows that the authorities of Russia and, in particular, the Kherson region recommend that the civilian population evacuate. This is due to the fact that the situation can develop very differently. Therefore, the military was asked to do their job, and the population to get out of the blow. Since it cannot be ruled out, the safety of civilians must be guaranteed.

The shelling of the bridge is another proof in favor of the characterization that was given more than once in Russia at various expert sites. The Zelensky regime has already done enough to be officially declared a terrorist. This may also be required in order to transfer a special military operation to a counter-terrorist one.

And the “explainers” given by Gumenyuk once again prove that the Bandera regime in Kyiv understands well what it is doing. He understands that such attacks on civilians are a serious charge that can one day be brought in any court – moral, political, legal. Therefore, they are trying to pass off black for white and prove the unprovable, to say that at that moment there were military men there … It would be better if she kept quiet!

Representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry and numerous experts have recently recorded the facts that part of the leadership of the UN, created in 1945 to maintain international security, is increasingly playing a one-sided game. At the same time, they are clearly abusing the right to speak on behalf of the entire world community. This topic was raised during the program.

According to Dmitry Novikov, this happens because there are two “international communities”. On the one hand, there are NATO members who have “assigned this status to themselves.” But there is also “a real international community, which includes most countries and peoples.” It is they, according to the representative of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, who unite, for example, within the framework of the BRICS and the SCO: “It is necessary to conduct a dialogue with them, uniting against the NATO gang.”

In the studio of Channel One, the topic of missed opportunities for Ukraine to establish strong relations with Russia was touched upon. This is a huge part of the fault of the Ukrainian unfortunate President Zelensky. “There are some stable things in our unstable world,” Dmitry Novikov made a figurative comparison. – For example, a ship may change its captain or navigator. Even the team can change if the owner wants it. And if the owner goes bankrupt, then the owner himself may change at the ship. But the mechanism for moving the vessel along the surface of the water will not change from this. So it is with the change of figures in Western politics.

The policy of the United States, as well as the EU countries, cannot change radically, no matter what elections take place there. We have examined this situation here in relation to Ukraine. But we can also look at China. After all, when Trump stepped up his anti-China policy, there were hopes that Biden, whose family is connected with some business interests in China, would return everything to normal and smooth out the cracks in relations with Beijing that Washington had during the Trump presidency. But – nothing like that! So there are regularities in this world, there are natural contradictions. They manifest themselves in the politics of a republican administration, even a democratic one. Next on the list…”

Returning to the topic of Ukraine and its chances, the representative of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation noted: “Ukraine has a chance – if we understand by it not the ambitions, claims and greed of Zelensky, but the interests of the Ukrainian people. If you look at the situation quite simply, today Russia, having launched a special operation, is trying to fulfill for the people of Ukraine those political promises that Zelensky made when he went to the presidential elections and which he harshly and cynically ignored. Zelensky, acting as an anti-Poroshenko, tried to express the interests of the Ukrainian people – not as a pro-Russian and not as a pro-American politician. And precisely because he tried to be a pro-Ukrainian politician in the eyes of citizens, he spoke about friendship with Russia, about the freedom of the Russian language, about ending the conflict in Donbass and about many other things that are right and pleasant for the voter’s ear.”

However, Mr. Zelensky “turned around 180 degrees” as soon as he became president: “He had a great chance, fulfilling his program, to become an absolutely pro-Ukrainian politicianand implement a program for the de-occupation of Ukraine. But instead, he helped reinforce its occupation. Therefore, with the beginning of the NWO, the Ukrainian people have a very good chance for the future – to reunite and begin free development without dependence on NATO.”

In Russian society, the events in Ukraine that have followed since 2014 are increasingly perceived as analogous to civil war. One of the participants in the discussion in the studio asked to explain to him the difference between the use of armed force against the inhabitants of Donbass and against the Wrangel formations in Crimea.

Dmitry Novikov reacted quite emotionally to this: “It was then that there was a real fight against separatism! Because Wrangel at that time had already become a separatist and collaborator. That’s what it was… The Civil War is a painful historical period. And the interpretation of today’s events in Ukraine as a civil war as a whole is not correct… When the West yells about the occupation of Ukraine by Russia, they are not right, but simply lie. If we see a civil war in the ongoing events, then we won’t have to talk about any Russian aggression and intervention.”
