Dmitry Novikov: The situation for Zelensky in the Northeast Military District zone is getting significantly worse

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky admits an unhappy outcome for his country and voices it publicly. This was stated to NEWS.ru by First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Dmitry Novikov.

In an interview with Fox News, Zelensky said Ukraine “must win.” According to him, it is unknown how this will happen; besides, the outcome may not suit everyone. At the same time, the Ukrainian leader previously allowed the start of negotiations with the Russian Federation, but “at the right time.”

According to Novikov, Zelensky wants to attract the attention of the West with his statements and hopes to change the situation with the distribution of funds to help Kyiv. The deputy clarified that most of the resources do not go to help Ukraine, but remain in the United States. The real attitude cannot be ignored indefinitely, he is convinced.

“The situation for Zelensky in the Northern Military District zone is getting significantly worse. This is another factor that leads him to voice such things and allow unhappy outcomes,” the publication quotes the parliamentarian as saying.

As Spiridon Kilinkarov, deputy of the V-VII convocations, noted, the Ukrainian leader got involved in the conflict, expecting NATO help and a quick victory for Russia, as the Parliamentary Newspaper wrote about. At the same time, in the end it turned out that only he was ready to fight with Moscow, the politician emphasized.
