Dmitry Novikov: Today the issue of the future of the fraternal peoples of Ukraine and Russia is being decided

“Despite the supply of weapons to Kyiv and the information war unleashed against Russia, there are certainly prospects for the successful completion of demilitarization. Denazification will take longer, more painful and more difficult. And it is very important to more actively include representatives of the Russian expert community in the discussion of the details of this process,” said Dmitry Novikov, speaking on Channel One.
The deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation noted that the Russian position does not pass through the filters of German, French or American propaganda. As a result, the inhabitant of these countries, who is not accustomed to purposefully seek objective information, does not know the truth about Ukraine. But after all, besides the European and American layman, there are billions of people who live in China, India and many other countries. Fighting for world public opinion, for the minds and hearts of people, Russia should focus on the inhabitants of these states, help shape their moods and their position, he believes.

“A number of experts in Russia believe that the pauses that are announced in hostilities so that Ukrainian soldiers can surrender are harmful. The logic of adherents of this point of view is that this provokes a sense of impunity. And there is some truth in this – the Ukrainian troops are counting on the possibility of maneuver. Following Zelensky, they are playing for time – perhaps the abroad will help. But even so, we cannot behave differently. My deep conviction is that these are our people who, due to circumstances, found themselves in a terrible swamp of life. The bog sucked them in. They are poisoned by poisonous swamp gases. But these are our people, and we are not waging a war of annihilation,” continued Dmitry Novikov.

The main task of the Russian special operation, according to the Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, is to save these people, their souls, the future of themselves and their children. “We are fighting for our common future today. That is why the military operation enjoys broad support within Russia, regardless of the heated political discussions that we have on domestic issues,” he stressed.

As Dmitry Novikov noted, the goals of the special operation have been outlined and it is necessary to persistently go towards their achievement. Alternating measures, conducting offensive operations, but giving opportunities for the surrender of Ukrainian soldiers is the right tactic, the representative of the Communist Party believes.
