Dmitry Novikov took part in a meeting with a delegation from the Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Management

Meetings with Chinese delegations are also regularly held in Moscow. For representatives of the CPRF and the CPC, the exchange of opinions is of great mutual interest. The basis for interaction between the parties is the Memorandum of Cooperation, which is regularly extended and has been in effect for three decades.

On the eve of the New Year holidays, a meeting was held in the premises of the Central Committee of the CPRF between Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Party D.G. Novikov and representatives of the Institute of Governance of Jiangxi Province. The delegation included leaders of various levels and representatives of the faculty. All of them contribute to the training of personnel for party and state activities, the study of economics and law, the history and practice of the CPC.

D.G. Novikov welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Chairman of the Central Committee of the CPRF G.A. Zyuganov and congratulated the Chinese comrades on the New Year. Dmitry Georgievich noted that the CPRF is the oldest party in modern Russia and has the largest opposition faction in the State Duma.

The Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation emphasized that cooperation between China and Russia best demonstrates how equal relations between peoples and states should be built. This is a good example for the entire world. Advocating for fair international relations, Beijing and Moscow play an important role in strengthening BRICS. The summit in Kazan successfully demonstrated this.

The delegation of the Chinese Institute of Governance of Jiangxi Province thanked Dmitry Novikov for the opportunity to meet and noted the importance of this meeting for all participants of the trip to Russia. During the dialogue, representatives of the Chinese side asked numerous questions on various issues of history and modernity.

Answering the question about the reasons for the collapse of the USSR, Dmitry Novikov drew the guests’ attention to the fact that this event was not a natural process. The political crisis in the socialist state was provoked by the policies of Mikhail Gorbachev. The collapse of the Soviet Union was the result of treacherous activities within the country. These collaborating anti-communist forces enjoyed massive support from the United States and its allies. Subjective reasons, therefore, turned out to be decisive. The economic problems in the USSR could have been overcome, but Gorbachev’s leadership acted in the opposite direction. The result was the restoration of capitalism and the temporary success of the imperialist forces.

During the meeting, the issue of China’s economic initiative “One Belt – One Road” was also raised. Dmitry Novikov highly appreciated the content and prospects of this project. At the same time, he drew attention to the deliberate attempts of the United States to torpedo this international initiative and prevent its implementation.

An important topic of discussion was the significance of the 18th Congress of the Communist Party of China. D.G. Novikov especially emphasized the eradication of mass poverty in the PRC. He assessed this undoubted achievement as an outstanding result of the CPC’s activities in governing the country. Dmitry Georgievich emphasized that, in the opinion of Russian communists, the main reason for this and other successes of the PRC is the deeply creative role of the CPC in Chinese society.

At the end of the conversation, members of the delegation of the Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Governance were presented with party souvenirs with the symbols of the CPRF.
