Elena Panina appreciated Kiev’s intentions to fight “Russian aggression”

“Russian aggression” exists solely in the imagination of Kiev officials who “sell” this content to Western curators, says Elena Panina, a member of the State Duma’s international affairs committee.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that in 2021 one of the department’s key priorities would be “countering Russian aggression,” he called the short-term goal of relations with the Russian Federation reaching the principle of peaceful existence. Among other priorities were the fight against coronavirus and the launch of the “Crimean platform” – a discussion platform on which the issue of Crimea will be discussed.

“Russian aggression” and “occupation of Crimea” exist exclusively in the imagination of Kiev officials, who, with varying success, “sell” this content to Western curators. The same applies to the fight against the pandemic, where the Kiev authorities, instead of responsible actions, block international cooperation, refuse the Russian vaccine, having no chance of getting its Western counterparts in the near future, “Panina told RIA Novosti.

According to the parliamentarian, the only promising direction among those announced by Kuleba is cooperation with African countries, where Ukrainian goods can be competitive.

“However, the point here is not in the merits of the Ukrainian authorities, but in the sharp reduction in the cost of the Ukrainian labor force caused by the impoverishment and ruin of Ukraine after the 2014 Euromaidan,” Panina added.

Relations between Moscow and Kiev have deteriorated against the background of the situation in Donbass. The Ukrainian authorities have previously repeatedly accused Russia of interfering in the country’s internal affairs. In January 2015, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a statement in which the Russian Federation is called the “aggressor country”. Russia denies the accusations of the Ukrainian side and calls them unacceptable. Moscow has repeatedly stated that it is not a party to the internal Ukrainian conflict and is interested in Kiev overcoming the political and economic crisis.
