State Duma deputy, director of the RUSSTRAT Institute Elena Panina outlined a list of problems that Russia may face in the foreign policy arena after the last elections in the United States.
“As a result of Biden’s victory, America will not just return to the Obama Democracy line. The events that have taken place in recent years have shown that it is now possible not to worry about the observance of formal norms and external decency. In the next four years, at least the United States will be governed by Democrats in an almost one-party format, and the interests of global financial corporations will again prevail, ”Panina recalled. “The support of the American population will be provided by completely controlled media, which are used to stigmatizing for a point of view that differs from the general one.”
A new attempt at a color revolution on the territory of Russia is quite likely. Elena Panina is sure that the United States will want to take revenge for the failed attempt in 2009-2012, and it cannot be ruled out that this will happen in a more unbridled, hysterical and cynical form.
“To avoid such a development of events, the Russian government needs to strengthen control over the media, not allowing foreign corporations to interfere. It is also necessary to activate the policy in the post-Soviet space – and to do it, pursuing exclusively its own goals, ”Panina summed up.
