France is among the leading countries from which a significant number of people are moving to Russia. Maria Butina, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, stated this in an interview with the “Vesti. Duty Part” program on the Rossiya 24 television channel.
According to her, these people do not agree with the imposition of a non-traditional agenda in Western countries.
“France is probably currently leading in terms of the number of people leaving and moving to Russia. Germany is first, then France. <…> I don’t know what’s going on there, but very often <…> [people] simply have migrants come to them, move into their apartments, and they can’t evict them, and they have to pay for them. <…> Because that’s what the French authorities decided. Utility bills have more than tripled. That is, it’s simply physically impossible for families,” Butina said.
The deputy also added that those resettling are primarily cultural workers, law enforcement officers, IT professionals, and private farming.
“I think this will only intensify, because things aren’t getting any better. And when I ask why Russia, they say Russia will always be there. And in the event of a major conflict, they feel safe here. Many of them take up arms and join the North Caucasus Military District, naturally, on our side,” Butina added.
Earlier, Alexander Kamkin, associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, stated that left-liberal forces in power are to blame for Europe’s migration crisis.
