Shamsail Saraliev met with the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Indonesia

During the meeting, issues of further development of the Russian-Indonesian parliamentary dialogue, strengthening of international relations, especially business cooperation between the two countries in the field of trade, energy, transport, infrastructure, tourism and other areas were discussed.

First Deputy Chairman of the International Affairs Committee, Coordinator of the Deputy Group for Relations with the Indonesian Parliament Shamsail Saraliev held a working meeting on February 24 with the Chairman of the Committee on Interparliamentary Cooperation of the People’s Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia Mardani Ali Sera and a delegation of deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia.

“This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Indonesia. From the very beginning, contacts between our countries have been distinguished by a high level of mutual respect, understanding and trust. Our relations retain their traditionally friendly nature and today we consider Indonesia to be one of Russia’s key partners in the Asia-Pacific region,” Shamsail Saraliev noted.

During the meeting, issues of further development of Russian-Indonesian parliamentary dialogue, strengthening of international relations, especially business cooperation between the two countries in the field of trade, energy, transport, infrastructure, tourism and other areas were discussed. Shamsail Saraliev proposed his Indonesian colleagues to establish interaction between the regions of Russia and Indonesia, develop a joint program of interaction and exchange specific proposals in the near future.
