Today the State Duma adopted a statement in connection with the aggressive actions of the US authorities towards the Russians.
My colleagues and I demand an immediate end to the oppression of representatives of the Russian community in the United States and the observance of their rights.
We also call on international parliamentary organizations and European parliaments to condemn the discriminatory US policy towards Russian compatriots.
The reason for the statement was that over the past year at least 300 Russians permanently residing in the United States have been persecuted by the American special services on far-fetched grounds. US actions often force Russians to abandon the preservation of the Russian language and culture, from the right to their identity!
I believe that the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the parliaments of the member states of the European Union, the UN Human Rights Council should hear our call and respond to it.
